According to Barry -Prevailing paradigms tend to freeze progress by creating a mental obstacle to creative ideas that block research into truly new ideas especially if these ideas conflict with the paradigm.

  • So is that why after 1400 years (or the past 800 years of it) our “world” has ceased to contribute to society in a meaningful way?


Anomalies however as they accumulate and become a critical mass (too many exceptions to the rule; too many permutations but not the real deal), they provide the tipping point that collapses the paradigm.

  • Aah…so this is why we are told to stay at home…80 or 90% of the women in our “world” out in the open would surely tip the balance of things…
