Just a thought thrown out there to the Four Winds….

According to certain segments of society; a woman’s role is to bear and care for her child (put aside the obvious physical aspects that go with child bearing/birthing)…so far so good.

According to certain segments of society a man has the obligation, right, privilege, honor (adherence levels depends on a few factors) to support said wife who bears his children…are we still in agreement?

Then why in hell is a man given custody to children he did not bear physically (sperm excercise doesn’t count), doesn’t know how to care for a child personally (forget the mother in law, unmarried cousin and the foreign maid, and cackle of sisters) and can discard like paper trash, if said child gets in his way; is the “provocateur” in second wife’s spats (her reason could range in the legions) ; is a commodity of golden proportions (so the man who will be “shagging” her around is as old if not older than dear old dad)?

So let me get this straight… men who can’t give birth to children; have very little clue how that tiny bit of person functions, (heaven’s why wasn’t it born fully grown with a job, it’s own house and a bank account for crying out loud!!!)will marry them off to the highest bidder (I say we bring back the Slave Markets of Damascus and Samarkand) are a more suitable parent!?

Yeah, yeah- men have roles, so do women- but when it comes to divorce- in Islamic circles the genders get reversed to maintain the status quo-

Man on Top!

    it is mostly ‘the society’.

I know there are numbers of Hadith where Rasulullah stated that the mother has more right than the father for the custody of children, saved for few exception.

Welcome Zaza and yes there are…remember the most famous…where Paradise is…at the foot of your mother? He said three times in succession; but somehow it has been translated lately to mean something else entirely by the way people act not only to their mothers; but to the sisters and daughters who will also be mothers too someday….Its got be the society because Allah Never Changes…
